Slide out stab jacke

I have a new 2013 Wildwood DLX 39FDEN, it has a very long main slide. Does anyone have an opinion on using the slide supports. I have heard that it may not be good because the tailer may settle and the slide will push up. We part at a seasonal site that is fairly solid.

There are a few threads here regarding these things - some pro and some con opinions. Do a search.

your question is asked quite often, so there's a lot of posts here about the subject.
bottom line is slide supports are holdovers from the early days of slideouts, when they were often called tipouts.
back then, slide technology was not great and many had to use supports.

now, the technology is stable and slides don't need them. in fact, manufacturers warn not to use them and if you do, you may void the warranty.
you should have a sticker or warning in your manual stating NOT to use slide supports.

What bikendan said. We're on our 4th camper with slides and have never used them.
