Hello I just bought my first camper used. Its a 1998 sierra with two electric slide outs. When I attempted bringing my slide outs in and then back out, they got stuck and blew a breaker. After flipping breaker the slide out will no longer function at all and is stuck halfway out. Any suggestions? I'm new to the rv world and in the learning process of the ins and outs/ ups and downs of being an rv owner.
Assuming you're hooked up to 110 and it's not just a dead battery, you may have a fuse in the 12v side if the panel that needs replaced. Do you're lights and other 12v appliances still work?

And...a fuse doesn't necessarily have to be in the panel. I had a Sandpiper that would occasionally blow fuses for the front jacks. After manually cranking to raise it high enough to hook up...and then manually cranking it to unhook I called my dealer and they told me to look behind the battery connector and it would be "one of those six or eight inline fuses".
I learned to keep a good supply of yellow 20 Amp blade fuses because with our Texas heat those things popped like popcorn sometimes.

My landing gear 30 amp fuse repeatedly blew when I over extended or retracted it. I replaced it one day with an autoreset one and never looked back. Since the 30 amp fuses for my slides were also behind the battery, I replaced them as well.
Eventually I moved them when I reworked the battery compartment.
The green pigtails are my slides.

Where do I find the 12 volt fuse that works for the slide outs. Someone advised me it was in a different spot then all the other fuses for camper. I am set up in an rv park so I am connected to electric also if that changes anything. Please explain simply I do not understand most camper lingo yet.

Fuses for slideouts could be
1) power distribution panel
2) next to or near battery
Most slideouts require a good working charged battery to operate.

I have a 2601ss, sometimes I have had to disconnect the battery lead(positive) to get my slide to work again. Also, you should have a tool about two to four feet long that you can attach to your slide motor to crank it in or out manually. Check under your camper, if it does not have a enclosed underbelly, follow the wires from the battery back, there is sometimes a fuse underneath.Good Luck!!
