I contacted Carefree of Colorado and was told in order to release tension on the slide Kover II I would have to drill out rivets on the left side and spin it against the arrow direction and not sure after that, I'm unclear.The topper just doesn't seem to be under enough tension to have to release any.

All I can suggest is you have the manual and info from Carefree. Other than that, don't know what to tell you if you think it's ok and don't want to experiment.

I appreciate your comments Coot and I will experiment I have too, as it is now it'll end up tearing the bottom panel of the sofa off. It drags pretty bad, it's just strange that after I first installed it it was fine. it operated perfect. Thanks again!!
