I have a new to me 2010 Salem 26 TBUD (triple bunk beads in back) with a slide out containing the couch and dining table.
I tried to extend the slide today sitting in the driveway and it won't go out. It makes a distinct clicking noise and doesn't move. What am I doing wrong?
I've read about manually extending it, but there's no intuitive way and I don't have any special tool to manually extend it. If this is something I need to acquire, advice on that topic would be appreciated too.
The switch rocks in two directions. One for in and one for out. Once it is all the way in it clicks to let you know. Same on all the way extended. Could it be as simple as rocking the switch in the other direction?

I am not familiar with your trailer but most likely you have a Liepert sliding system. Have a look underneath your outside entry steps for a protruding shaft with a pin in it or a black rubber grommet in the side of the trailer. This would be the manual operating shaft for the slide. See attached. Hopefully that is what you have. Also picture of manual handle.
Our bedroom slide just did this last week. We pressed the switch up to bring the slide in and it made a ratchet sound and then pressed down for out, we did this a couple of times and it started working again. It worked fine the next time we needed to put the slide in and out. Not sure what caused it but it had done it once last year and then no problem until last week.
Thanks Fonzie...that is what I have. I think I'm missing the piece that goes on the end of the shaft to attach a ratchet to in order to extend it manually. I suppose I'll start there.
