Slide outs

Wildwood 312QBBS
Looking for solution for slides being accidentally operated partially by kids thinking they are lights.
Had one partially opened for a week while unaware.
Needless to say, we had some unwanted guest.

I disconnected wiring from switches last year but there must be some type of cover, or should be, that would prevent unwanted partial operation.
I may try to manufacture my own covers if no one out there is aware of something sold to cover switches and still allow easy access to operate switch.
Thanks

May I suggest that you look at your local building store for clear thermostat covers. They are relatively cheap and should do the job.

Many of the higher end units and diesels have a master power lock/switch which is located near the slide switches. They require the use of one of those round cam style keys to turn on and thus provide power to the switches. Sounds like if you already removed the power wires from the switches to prevent it in the past then you should have no problem wiring in something like this.

WalMart Soap Box! Brilliant! That has to be one of the coolest, most original, things I've seen in a long time!

This may be a dumb idea but if the slides are in I assume the trailer is not being used. Why not just lock the doors, also show the kids what the various switches do you can't put a price on education. We keep our trailer locked all the time even at home for the few seconds it takes to unlock it if and when we need to get in it and it is only the wife and I living there. Although we keep our slides both out when parked at home just for ease of access to do anything. They only get put in at home when the trailer is stored for winter.
