Slide outs quit working.....

First off...our 5th wheel stays parked at my BIL ranch on a concrete slab connected to a 50 amp service...

Daughter used trailer couple weekends ago....awning would not retract...I look around on forums and understand a recall has been issued for Dometic awning motors within a certain range of serial numbers...get up there this weekend and checked and our numbers weren't in the range of the recalls...figured I manually roll up and research some options...

Yesterday we're getting trailer set to leave for a couple of weeks...propane off, water off, tanks drained, etc....last step was to pull in slides...wife hit button and nothing happened...no clicks or any attempt for slides to move....

1. checked over ride/manual button by batteries....nothing
2. checked SO fuses on inside panel...they're good....
3. located additional fuses behind a cover in the front basement....good
4. located a large spade fuse attached to main battery cable...it was good

Noticed designated inverter for refrigerator would not come on (fridge works fine off shore power)

Turned on level up and it indicated low voltage issue (didn't need it just turned it on)

Water levels good in batteries (4ea 6 volts)

Everything else worked in trailer

I've read a lot of the forums here...am I by chance missing a fuse or is there a circuit breaker involved as well..pretty sure we have a 2015 model....thanks

Sounds like you have some dead (or almost dead) batteries......

Thanks for the replies.....evidently there are gremlins on the loose in N. Florida...I assumed the trailer was exactly how I left it before my daughter got up there...the main battery switch was off which killed the batteries which killed the slides as well....strangest thing was the fuse for the awning was gone!!

Big shout out to Ken at Giant RV....stepped me thru every step to locate the problem...could've just as easily said bring it in since its still under warranty...he also pointed out that there is usually a quick disconnect just before the awning motor....you can unplug it there and rig up some wires and plug into a car battery and get the awning to roll up or extend (just reverse the battery clips)
