Slide repair

Do I continue using this repair shop. Slide stuck on 30' Flagstaff and charged for 12 hours at $140/hour to replace gears and motor ($570)? (for chipped tooth on gears)

Did you already pay to have that done?

If that's just the estimate, and you're pretty handy, you can buy the parts and fix it yourself. If you're not handy and/or don't have the facilities, then that may not be a bad a deal.
