Question Slideout gear

Greeting: I have an 07 Flagstaff 8528GTSS 5thwheel. Recently I had a problem with my slideout. The retaining bolt that holds one of the shafts from the gear to the motor sheard off. I replaced the bolt and got the slideout working again. However, when it's fully extended, I can't bring it back in with the control switch. It keep making the sound like the gear is not engaging. If I crawl under the slideout and using the crank to start it manually for a few turns, then I'm able to hit the switch and it comes in. I read in one of these forum, that some units have an adjustment to move the gear up or down if it's not engaging. Does anyone have any more information on this? I can't recall where I read it so I can't find it again.
Thanks in advance.
