Slideout Seals

We just came back from a week of Church Camp (Yosemite Bible Camp, Oakhurst CA).
I was blowing the pine needles off the top of the slide-out when I noticed that the top exterior seal was just hanging by its ends.

This seal attaches to the trailer exterior not the slide itself.

I need some advice on repairing this.
Are the seals on our units a "standard" type of seal or does Forest River use its own proprietary brand?

Any help in securing new material or advice for application would be greatly appreciated.

There will be answers from some on this and most other forums that those are not seal but wipers designed to sweep water off when closing. I can assure you that if they do not work properly you will get water to the back side of the fascia and floor, all of which are wood and they WILL rot.

Try "RV Factory Surplus" or "Pelland Enterprises". I have read on this forum that Forest River will not sell direct to customer but have not tried to order anything from them. Give them a call and see what they say.

I need to take a closer look.
Surely theye is some sort of seal that prevents water from entering when the slide is closed.
I will report back with my findings.

My trailer uses a combination of a sweep and a gasket.
The back of this combo looks very similar to the back of a Hot Wheels track.
The trailer has the mating part and the gasket has the female part.
All I had to do was to rehook the gasket back onto the male part by first sliding it back onto the hooks.
Problem solved!
