Slideout stuck out

My son pulled a wire tonight on the slideout and now only the right side will move. It is stuck out. We cannot get it in to get it fixed. We have a 2013 Cherokee Grey Wolf. Can anyone tell me how to manually get the slide out in? I read on one model to manually push it it but that doesn't seem like a good idea.

Where is the crank to manually crank the slide out in?

We are suppose to leave for camping tomorrow but cannot leave with the slide out stuck out.

I believe you need to disconnect power from the slide motor(s) and then can manually push it in. Then reconnect power to keep it in.
Just my understanding.

Didn't the dealer explain that to you when you bought your camper?
There should be a crank in one of the storage compartments. If you have an actuator-driven slide, then look for a access hole on the opposite side of the camper from the slide. Insert the crank, and turn. You shouldn't have to disconnect the power.
If it isn't an actuator style, let us know.

No they did not show us anything about manually having to move the slide out. I do not think it is an actuary because I do not see a whole to insert the crank.

Not knowing what type of slide-out you have. You can check out this Web Site:

I had a grey wolf, pretty sure there's no cranking. They say you push it manually, but from past discussions on here, I believe I'm right with the power thing. I think you need to pull the lower fascia off the slide, and access the motor under there. I wonder if a simple fuse pull would work as well though?

Again, I'm not 100% sure.

There are a lot of different types. Sometimes there is a hole under the slide, or sometimes the mechanism is under the couch.
You may have to call your dealer in the morning.

perhaps you'll get more help if you posted a similar question in the Cherokee sub-forum, since slideouts are different between brands.

Wow, got any mechanic friends? Just guessing here but if cables are used you can search for Schwintek slide mechanisms on line, they have some good troubleshooting/repair info posted. All the best

We did it!

My husband got the front of the couch off and was able to plug the wires back in. We now get to leave for camping! Yea! Don't know how much fun it will be camping in the rain but here we come anyway!
