Slideouts on sloped driveway

We have a 33' TT with 3 slide outs. One of the slide outs broke - we believe because we opened and closed it on our sloped driveway as we unloaded after trips. My husband says if we open the slide outs on the street and THEN back it onto the driveway we should be ok. Is that true or may we still be causing damage to the slides. This is our second year so still somewhat new to this. Thanks!

I level ours in the driveway. Tongue is way up in the . But it’s level before we open the slides. We had friends that burned out a fridge when they park it for a few days. So again level it.

Not a good idea. The slide outs are not stabile enough on their rails when the coach is out of level...plus it is not wise to move the coach at all with the slides out for the very same reason. You risk damaging them even more when moving.
