Sunseeker 2006 3100SS Slideout Broken
Hi,
When it worked, we had to allow it to pop a few times to make sure it was either fully open or closed. Now it quit working and was very difficult to push back in.
The trouble has been traced (perhaps) to the differential where the axils come out of, please see photo. The motor and gear boxes work fine, and the manual drive turns, but not the axils.
Anybody ever experience repairing something like this? Since it is an above-floor slideout, there seems to be no access to the two gears on their rack & pinion design. That little place in the storage compartment seems to be the best that I can find. Now, I'm trying to take the differential off and that is no easy task. Is it possible that the axils are inside a tube, so that one cannot see them turn anyway?
