Sunseeker 2250S Slideout

Have new 2015 Sunseeker 2250S. I am concerned about operating the slideout should the motor fail for any reason... manually retracting or opening... as the slideout results in the bedroom on this unit, this is a concern should it happen on the road. There are no cranks or holes that are obvious where a manual crank might be used. Manuals are useless on this subject. Thanks for your help.

I know slide outs get a lot of coverage here but I have never has anyone I personally know have a problem with a slide out. I am the only one with a pop up with everyone I know having much larger units with slides. They never have a problem. They just flick the switch and they are all set.

I am sure you will be fine.

Vin.

Nope. Basically there is no answer. I had an issue that was fixed on warranty. Hopefully the optimists among respondents are right.

Looks like yours has the same slide-out for the bed as my Forester. If you have two grey metal rails on each side, then its the Schwintek model. There are You Tube videos on the manual override and retiming. Here is the over-ride.

There are also a few videos on the manual over ride and more on the FR video website.
