tracer 32 bht slide issue

My wife and I returned from camping this weekend and while running the living room slide out to unload there was a bang and found the bracket came off the chain. It looks like the nut backed out. I removed the 2 cables from the bracket and replaced the bracket on the chain and threaded the long nut about half way on but can't get the 2cables to come close to hooking up again. It appears to be about 1 1/2" short of going into the bracket. I've tried jockeying the slide and jacking slide to level it but still not close. The slide is even in the camper and both cables appear to be clear and in place. Option to look for?

I figured out how to get the cables reconnected. I removed the 1/4" bolt that connects the chain to the bracket for the cables and replaced it with one that was 2" longer. I got everything reconnected and jogged it in and out and adjusted the cables until everything was working correctly. Even removing the center over slide nameplate there is no room to work up there you had to force hands into the space to work on it.
