U dinette bench

Just went to trailer and noticed that one side of dinette bench has pulled loose from slide wall. What would cause this? Is there somethin wrong with slide or is the thin board that was attached to wall just broke through from use?

Today when we put the slide out the dinette back is flush to wall again. The slide goes in and out just fine, Could the walls of slide expand when pulled in?
