V-Lite Exterior Slide-out seal

I have a 2011 V-Lite 30 WRLS that I just bought and while driving down the road I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw this black snake dancing in the wind and apparently attached to the rear of my trailer!

It is the top exterior seal on my big slide. The ends of it had been screwed down (fender washer was used) and the ends had both torn. The wind was apparently working it down the track and out the rear.

It is a 1" D-Seal with EK track. What is the proper method to install the new seal?

I would glue it on with a screw and washer on the leading edge.
