Wardrobe slide. Flagstaff 5th, 8528ikws. Top cable

Pulling out the wardrobe slide, as always. Not overloaded. No binding, not hitting anything, nearly all the way out and a loud pop, motor still running, slide moving, second pop. Slide out.
Outside inspection of the cables, and the top-front cable is no where to be seen!
It's late. Been trying to read on line. Heading to Goshen tomorrow, if we can get the wardrobe slide in.
What's the best way to try to pull the wardrobe back in? Motor, gears, etc all sound as normal. Can we try to motor the slide back in while pushing on the outside?
Once in, we'll head to Goshen rally and contract someone to fix this.
Any hints and help appreciated!
