Water damage in slide out bunk

Hi all. New to the forum so apologies if this isn't placed in the correct area.

My husband and I are new to Rvs. We purchased a 2010 Cherokee 30U+ about a month ago.
Yesterday we were removing the small couch out of the back bunk area and realized there is a significant amount of water damage on the slide floor. The flooring is soft and definitely needs to be replaced.
We've watched several videos on YouTube and it doesn't seem too hard. Just tedious having to remove trim and molding and redoing all the seals and vapor barrier.

Has anyone replaced a rotten slide floor without actually taking the entire slide out completely??

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. removing the slide or not is dependent on the location and extent of the damage that needs to be repaired. I have done repair to a slide floor (small area) with the slide still attached to the rig
