Wildwood 28fkss hole in rear part of slide

Have a 2002 Wildwood 28fkss that has a hole at the rear part of the slide when it is open or closed, the hole is in the trailer side, the slide is OK, don't see how it was sealed before, anyone got any ideas on how to close it up, can't get to it from the inside that I can see, any help will be greatly appreciated.

How big of a hole? If it's about the size of a quarter, it might be the manual retract hole.
