XLR kitchen slide struggling

Hi I hope someone can help.
I purchased a 2011 XLR 35-10 5th wheel and I am having problems getting the kitchen slide in and out. it is a cable slide and is really flexing the wall on the way in and out. it is also tearing the hell out of the underneath of the slide. I have had a dealer look at it but was not familiar with that design of slide. He was going to call forest river but he has not got back to me, I don,t think I will hear back due to the fact that I did not buy the RV at his dealership. Has anyone else had this problem and if so can you help me out. Thanks

If it is damaging the bottom of the slide, I would guess that something is severely out of adjustment. However, I am not familiar with the cable slides either, so am not sure what adjustments are available. I am assuming that you picked it up new? Did the slide work fine then?

XLR kitchen slide

It has never worked right since I purchased it at RV nation but did not notice untill I was home in Ontario.I have a dealer who said he MIGHT look at it if he has time in Oct or Nov. I guess I really should try to contact forest river direct and see if I can rectify this problem. If anyone has any contact names I would apreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance chip...

Try this number- 574-389-4600. When they answer, tell them you wish to speak to someone about XLR service. They can give you the number for whomever is closest to you. Good luck.
