Define Pearl Edition Please

Just bought a 2013 CC 36CKTS. Has what salesman referred to as gelcoat finish...very shiny, smooth. Is this the same as pearl edition or did I miss out? Thanks!

Bill, I'm not sure but the "Pearl Edition" is a tan gelcoat.

And just different! Only because it isn't "white". More classy I think!

well we brought home the new 36ckts this past Friday. Crossroads trailers and (Eddie)were great to deal with, DW says it's Christmas all over again. I already added a cable jack in the basement next to the 120v plug , I didn't want to see the cable run outside the compartment door, and added the Hugh's autoformer and whole coach surge protection.
WooHoo

Congrats on your delivery! Mine is also in at crossroads but I had to put off delivery due to a stomach bug.
I had also thought of a cable jack inside the compartment, this way the outside tv is always connected and stored away easily.
Good luck and happy camping!

Congrats on Cedar Creek. We ordered our 2013 Cedar Creek 36CKTS at the Hershey RV show in Sep 2012. Picked it up in November and drove it to Disneyworld in November with the grand kids and loved it. We have the full body paint Touring Edition and love it. Can't wait to get it back out again.

I'm a little upset they deleted the metal decor piece but don't mind the wood back chairs instead of the fabric back.
Has anyone purchased the 2nd year warranty from FR for the $250?

Getting ready to order our Cedar Creek 36 CKTS from Tom Johnson Camping Center and just wondered if anyone had any advice on beefing up our 2003 Chevy 2500 Diesel to pull this camper. My DH is talking about adding air bags or beefing up the springs and tires. Any other advice? Anyone ever done business with this dealer?

If I was you I would put some airbags on they aren't that much money and there nice to have. I have heard good things about Tom Johnson, I bought from Brannon at Jeff Couch's, they are wholesalers and sell CC cheaper then anyone else if I was you I would take 10 minutes and get a price from them, just to make sure your close.

Yes.

Forrest River Extended Warranty
This is mostly for New CC Owners, however it applies to most of Forest River products. I did some research on the subject and this is what I found:

1. This is not a 3rd party insurance policy. It is an extension of a specific list of items for an additional year.
2. For Cedar Creek, the cost is $250. There is a form that was included in the dealer paperwork but you don't need it.
3. The covered items are:
Suspension System & Axles, Water Heater, Jacks, Frame, Water Pump, Roof Membrane,
Floor (Subfloor Structure wood only, squeaks excluded), TV Antenna, Slide Out Mechanism, Furnace, Toilet,
Refrigerator, Awning, Air Conditioner, Power Converter, Microwave, Furniture, Range, Steps, Valances,
Interior Cabinet frame, face and sides, LP Tanks, Mattress, Tires, Stereo & Speakers,
Windows, Exterior Entrance Door
4. Original Purchaser Only - Non Transferable
5. Must submit payment within 10 days of the purchase. (May be a little flexible for cause - just sayin;-)

Answers to specific questions I asked:
What about the inverter? A: Only has one year.
Level Up? A: Yes Lippert extends their coverage to match Forest River's.

Contacts:
Service and Warranty : Justin 260-593-2598 General Number 260-593-2425
To purchase the Protection Plan: Call Forest River at 574-534-3167 and talk to Rhonda. She can take a Visa/MC on the phone.

On a personal note: We usually don't buy extended warranties but this one is not an insurance policy. It is a real extension of the manufactures coverage (Limited). There is a copy of the plan, one page, floating on the web. I think there is a link somewhere in this Forum.

Congrats on getting your 5th wheel. We were upset about not having the metal decor piece too. But what I did was put a big decor clock up there. Looks great! And we also like the wooden chairs. Did you notice we have storage space in the seat of the chair? I believe the fabric ones didn't.
And hubby did get the 2nd year warranty.
Happy Camping!
Char
