2015 Cedar Creek Silverback 29IK
We recently purchased a used Silverback 5th wheel. The Manuel states there is 80 gallon black and gray tanks. Would it be 40 Black and 40 Gray?
Also, this is our 1st time towing a fifth wheel. We have always had travel trailers. Our unit is 13’ 1” tall. Can I get recommendations for a app for travel planning that provides heights restrictions? We are planning a trip in the fall to the northeast (New York (Catskills), Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts. We want to map our trip out to avoid issues for low clearance.
Thank you!!

Can't help with the Northeast or any app that shows height. I use a 760 Garmin GPS that does.
You should have a 40 gallon black tank, one 40 gallon grey tank for galley, and another 40 gallon grey tank for bath. There should be 3 separate "idiot lights" that are supposed to tell percent full of each separate tank, but which are mostly worthless and most folks ignore.

X2 on the tanks.
I use an app called park adviser. It is more for locating campgrounds and reviews on them but it has a pretty good map that shows low clearance spots.

We bought a trucker's atlas and it gives the height of bridges, etc.
That was our concern,too.

I use a Rand McNally GPS; that allows you to input your height, length of truck and trailer ( that are connected together), number and size of propane tanks, and weight. This has come in handy several times when I was out east a couple of years ago. As some ares do not allow propane tanks that are open to be transverse with your trailer. Also some bridges also have weigth restrictions on them.

The Hathaway has 4 tanks: 40 gallon black for toilet, 40 gallon gray for shower and bathroom sink, 40 gallon gray water for kitchen, and 69 gallon fresh water tank (although 7 gallons siphons out of overflow if you completely fill tank).
My height is the same as yours. Could find no app for height. I use the trucker map, and I strongly recommend getting the 760 Garmin GPS. It has never taken us to a bridge too low.

We have the same trailer. You have one forty gallon black tank and two 40 gallon grey tanks. One gray tank is for the shower and bathroom sink and the other is for the galley. Don’t believe the sensors. It doesn’t take very long using the rig to figure out how fast you fill up each tank.
A truckers road atlas is a great thing to have.
We’ve had ours since new and it’s been a great rig. Hope you enjoy yours.
Cheers

If you'll put several gallons of clean water back in all your tanks after you flush and dump, then add a bit of Pinesol and Dawn dishwashing liquid to each before you pull out or head to the next destination, the sloshing about will not only keep your tanks clean, it will help keep your tank level sensors clean and reading right as well.

Good app
MelFor
We have the exact same RV that you have. We use Allstays and it is fabulous. Tells you everything you need to know for your journeys including heights for overpasses. Give it a try and I think you’ll love it

I use RV Trip Wizard to plan my trip and the Garmin RV760 gps while enroute. Just stay on the interstate and don't worry about the heights.

Most campgrounds are not on interstates. Mt. Rushmore is not on an interstate.

What kind of advice it that?
We'd never be able to travel or stay most anywhere we camp as we rarely camp near an interstate highway.
We use Allstays and RVParky and I put Low Clearance POI in our GPS and watch for road signs.
