2016 36ckts inverter
OK so this past week the wife and I were at a local county park and a storm knocked out the power for 9 hours. I wasn't too worried until the fridge lost power within a few hours. Shouldn't the inverter run that? It showed a low battery indicator, however, all of the batteries were showing full charge. What am I doing wrong? Also, what all should the inverter run?
We still had power to the lights but that was it.

Depends on your battery set up. Without power, they would run any 12 volt circuits. The inverter only runs the refrigerator.

Shouldn't the fridge last longer than a few hours? Why would the inverter show low battery if the rest of the battery bank is showing fully charged?

Sometimes these campers are not hooked up right. The place where I brought my camper at had the batteries hooked up wrong. They had four batteries hooked up but not the way two batteries would get charged

The batteries have to be hooked up so that all the batteries get charged. My camper batteries were not hooked up right, you may have something different. A picture of the batteries would be nice

If you have 4 6 volt batteries this is how they should be connected. Learned the hard way for several days until CC sent me an updated diagram. The one in the battery bay was incorrect.

Ours was wired incorrectly by the dealer we bought from. I asked them to follow the system Ttanous posted but no dice.
The first thing I did was wire the 4 6volt batteries as suggested.
If you have 4 6v batteries I'd double check and see how they are wired together.

They don't look wired right. ATTACH]114527[/ATTACH] these batteries are hooked to each other the way they should be. The cables are a little long but these batteries are not hooked up to anything else just each other

Don't be confused that one of the cables has a red end on a negative post. The batteries are hooked up right, I have cleaned up the cables now
My battery box on my Cedar Creek is a little tight

Empt82 looking at your wiring and what is posted in the battery compartment is what is wrong when you look at my diagram provided by CC they are different. You are fighting the same problem I had until I received the new diagram. If you wire based on what I posted you will be able to run for 13 or more hours on battery with no issues for the refrigerator.

Also based on your picture 2 batteries are connected together and the other 2 are connected together. The problem with this is that only one set get charged the other never gets charged. This is the problem I encountered. Most lily the set going to the refrigerator is not getting charge and will not hold. Hope this helps. You will have to purchase an additional connecting cable when moving to the correct wiring diagram. I might have had to purchase 2 but can't remember.

You need a jumper between the two positives and the two negatives to hook the two 12v series pairs together in parallel. Where the two black cables come through the firewall and attach to the batteries, you need a jumper between the two batteries/cables (think triangle). Same as the two red positive cables coming through. Verify this by looking at the diagram behind the batteries.
Easy fix!
