2017 Champagne Lazy Boy Furniture
Interesting in trying to find out actual covering mareial of our Theater Seating and Sofa, first Contacted Cedar Creek, They pointed me to the manufacturer; Lazy Boy.
{Trying to find out how much if any is leather for maintenance etc)
Contacted Lazy Boy and they pointed us to a Subsidiary; England Furniture Inc.
I already contacted them off the tag I found under the furniture. Waiting to hear from them. So is it really Lazy Boy or something they just put their name on?
Is it really leather or not? Was led to believe by the dealer.

I do believe it's bonded leather. Not full hide so it will not hold up as well over time.

No way is it real leather. A nice real leather theater seating would be too much $$$ for an RV. Price points are important when building them.

The Lane furniture is junk from a covering standpoint

After some research, the bonded leather is used in RV 's because it can handle the temperature and humidity extremes of camping. Real leather does poorly in this application.

We ordered power reclining love seat from Ashley through local furniture dealer for previous tt. It held up well the four plus years and over 200 nights of camping. Found dealer was willing to work with us on colors etc. We had checked with Lazy Boy outlet and had similar results, however units were too big to get through tt door. On current tt we bought a power theater loveseat through LCI at the Goshen rally.

Reread op post. Not sure if they are just interested in material type, or recovering. Would be a bit pricey, but upholstery shop that does auto work would know proper materials to use. If a sample swatch could be removed from underneath, they should be able to identify it for you. Even better if there is a removable cushion. Agree with it not being real leather.

Hate the Recliner that came with the trailer. Of course, DW likes hers. I got a different one from my daughter's house, an overstuffed cloth one. Better than the little brown recliner that is OEM chair, but still not what I want. It fits fine, but it's harder to turn 90 degrees to put slide in.
I am wondering if a Swivel Recliner would work.......if it would lock in place, all you'd have to do is turn it 90 degrees and lock it, and put slides in. I see them online all over.......but not buying without sitting in it.

Bonded Leather & La Z Boy subsidiaries
As a 50 year furniture veteran let me clarify a couple of things. Bonded Leather is a vinyl product sprayed over ground up shreds of leather. No where do you touch leather. Treat it as vinyl which means use a wash cloth with warm water to clean.
There are different quality levels and some will perform well with a nice feel to the hand.
England furniture makes a good quality product and has been around for many years. It was a privately held company until the owners got to the age to sell. It is now a subsidiary of La Z Boy as are a number of other companies. It is an American made product (not Chinese) and so parts are available if needed.
Hope this helps!
