2nd AIR UNIT

I am considering putting a 13500 air unit on our 2012 36RE. The stickers indicate we are wired for it. In looking at things there is what appears to be a telephone wire in the bundle, for what purpose?

I am thinking this is a do it myself project, any advice from those who have done it would be welcome.

Might be thermostat control.

We added a second unit to our 2011 36RE, the telephone style wire is for remote operation. Unless you are a handyman type I think I would look at getting the unit at Camping World and pay the $39.00 for them to install it. At $39.00 its not worth all the back and ups and downs of doing it.

I have been told that camping world install fees are :

39.00 take out the current vent
39.00 set the unit on top
39.00 to set the bottom unit in place.

Can anyone speak to the accuracy of this info?

This info came from a recent CW store opening.

I installed one on my Sabre. I used a bobcat to lift the unit up to where I could reach the roof easily. The hardest part was figuring out the thermostat wiring (which was way simpler than I made it)

They where doing complete install for members at $39.00, I had a new awing put on and that's all it cost. Took off unit replaced covering and reinstalled in about 3 hours, of course you have to buy the unit there.

Sounds WRONG to me. Should be $39.

I have my first unit with dual AC. It works fine but is noisy as heck. Don't like using while I sleep.

Bedroom A/C

Agree. Very loud. However, when summer rolls in and nights in the 80 's it will feel better than the sound!!
