33IK inverter powers ??

We have the 33IK with residential frig and I am wondering what the inverter powers. Specifically, with the water heater switch set to ON to use the elect element, while traveling is this on the inverter circuit? Or, with it set to ON, will it only be powered when hooked to shore power. Seems it would be a pain to need to turn it on and off outside each time we connect or disconnect from shore power. But, I have not been able to find what exactly is powered by the inverter.

Thanks for the help.

Inverter supplies 110 VAC from battery(s) 12VDC. Inverter powers fridge when off shore power ... that's it. Battery powers 12VDC lights, radio, CO2 detector, level up, fridge control board, heater fan, and solenoids, water pump. Shore power does electric side of hot water heater, TVs, microwave, AC outlets, A/C's, ceiling fan, and converter.

I have a question also. So when traveling down the road hooked up, turn the inverter on? When hooked to shore power, turn it off?

Yes,
The inverter is not required to operate the fridge when you are on shore power.

When traveling down the road, Yes, turn on the inverter that way your frig will be operating off the batteries and your tow vehicle. When you hook up to shore power, turn off the inverter. Note: you must turn off the inverter or your batteries will not charge.

sorry for sort of robbing this thread, but I thought it may help the OP. Thanks for all the info.

Also wanted to mention, on my coach, the inverter is for my fridge only.

Just a word of warning. Make sure the inverter is off when hooked to shore power. You will not like popping all your breakers.

I just picked up my tlr 38fb2 and have yet to use it but my dealer told me the inverter had to be on for the fridge to work, should I believe him or is he misinformed on the matter (confused)?

When plugged in, the shore power should pass though the inverter.
