Has anyone bypassed the water filter system?

I used this kit to create a bypass on the back of the filter in our 38FL.

I bought a 3" long threaded PVC pipe. I just connected the input and output connections on the water filter to the PVC pipe.

When we got our trailer, we had the dealer take out the water filter unit totally and put a filter in the cold water kitchen line under the sink. They then made the remove filter unit into a portable one by putting hose hookup ends on either side so we can use it outside the unit to filter all the water if we wish to do so at sometime in the future.
(we did this on our previous trailers too - great difference in the water pressure in the trailer and no need to filter everything)

I have not had any problems with my filter. I like having it where it is. Knock on wood.

I have not had any problems with mine, I plan to leave the filter in. I don't ever put filters in it. It is empty and I don't drink the water, I use bottle water for drinking and for cooking
