36 ckts awning

Just wondering if I should tilt my awning during the rain or leave it up with the screw knobs left open on the supports?

When the rain becomes moderate, i roll them in. I leave those screws loose.

When we deploy our awning( elect.self dump) we drop (1) side for runoff and Place our (Support Poles) under the roller tube.Then tie the ropes down and (Watch it Rain/ if need be under the awning) that it what we do! Youroo!!

x's 2 youroo, I always set mine with a slight tilt to drain. If it rains I'm surely not going to bring everything inside to keep it dry, they are made to give you shade and protection from rain. Other then that they would be useless.......I like the manual better myself, but with pole support they hold up fine, in both wind and rain and I don't have to worry if I'm away and a storm moves in......

I tilt mine for the rain also and only retract it if there are high winds

Once I deploy the awning with a tilt and tie it down, we never bring it in unless winds are predicted above 25-30 mph. I have thrown a 550 cord over the material from end to end to keep the material from flopping, but the awning arms and tube never move in the wind. I would not want an awning if every time it clouded up or a breeze came up or we left the campground I had to put it up. JMO.
