We are on our second Forest River trailer; first one was a Windjammer travel trailer and now in a Sabre fifth wheel. I don't see us going to any other brand when we choose our retirement unit.

I am a biased opinion but we really like the Cedar Creek and have had very minor issues when new.

CC customer service is great and (based on other peoples input) better than average even when compared to other Forest River divisions.

Not every CC made has been 100%, but I think overall the quality is very good.

My first FR product was a 2003 FR Cardinal 33CKTS 5th. Then my Son bought a 2005 FR Cedar Creek 362BBS 5th. At the same time to get a better deal I bought a 2006 FR Cherokee 32B TT. After ten years with the Cardinal I stepped up to a 2013 FR 36CKTS.

We've been very happy with the 3 FR products in the shed and highly recommend them to anyone.

we too are interested in going with the cc36ckts when we go fulltime in 2016 and have researched many many manufacturers and models over last 2yrs. and feel that this is the one that will meet our needs for fulltiming and feel has a lot of value for the money. its always a personal choice so as long as you make a list of must haves you can eliminate a lot of them up front to help make the decision a little easier. Good luck to you as you begin to fulfill your dreams!

We bought a 36CKTS last year from a dealer on the internet of all places, but saved over 10,000. I was worried about service when we got it, but had a couple of issues and called the warranty department and they were great. I ended up calling a mobile rv service and took pictures and sent the bill to them and they paid it in full.

We have a 2014 36ckts and love it. Had some issues I'll tell you about.
1 refrigerator frame was bent at the bottom it closed but would not seal or cool down. It was replaced no questions asked. A bit disturbed the installer missed this problem.
2 sun shades fell off the rods (3) had them repaired
3 there is a problem with the water intake valve it allows the tank to fill up when in closed position. It's a know issue and we just had that fixed.
We expected problems, it happens.
One thing that I believe is a design flaw, the microwave/convection is NOT vented outside. I think it should be!
We are very happy with our cedar creek!!

Yep on the outside vent required! We upgraded our micro to Whirlpool Convection and plan to use it often. I assumed it would be outside vent. Bad assumption. If not for the ceiling exhaust fan run on high, alarms would be screaming!! I have fan shroud on both kitchen and bath fans. At the very least, if no outside vent was planned, they should have provided a vent cover. You cannot cook in the rain without it!!
Took me 2 hours and $140 to buy and install. Should have been a 30 minute job, BUT, original roof vent screws were put on with a power driver and heads on several were stripped!! Sloppy is as hurry does!!

When we toured the Cedar Creek plant in June, 2014, I noticed a vent on the outside kitchen wall. I asked the guide what the vent was for and she replied that it was a vent for the microwave/convection ovens. They had just started building them in a week or two before that. Mine was built a month earlier. So, no vent on mine. Like SilverbackMel, we have vent covers and use the ceiling fan while cooking.

We have a 2005 34 ckts. It has been flawless except for normal wear items. Comfortable, solid and reliable. With a new bigger one there are some changes I would insist on. 7K axles for one along with 17.5 inch tires. Myoride would be another.

I have a 2012 36CKTS and have been very happy with it. However, not having an outside vent from the microwave is just plain dumb! I corrected that, however, there was a 120 VAC wire running through the wall in that area. Wouldn't you know it? Thankfully, I cut real shallow and didn't cut the wire. The other short coming is that the carry capacity is too little!

I have a 2015 36CKTS and loooooove it! I bought the 36 over the 38 for the simple reason the 38 lacked counter space and upper kitchen storage.

Try contacting FR warranty dept ahead of time to find out what kind of customer service to expect! Good Luck!
