I now know that I can most likely find a place for a fixed SS "down under" somewhere. It will just take a bit of crawling around to do. I appreciate all the helpful hints, etc. Can't wait to fish some more wires!

Hey BombDoc,

Off subject question: where did you get those carpet pads for the steps? Need them for my old dog who has a terrible time getting up and down the steps to the BR.

I put mine in my 38CK right behind the breaker panel box. Access is through the cold air return just above the panel box. I bought the remote and installed that in the switch panel area next to the front door. Be careful of mounting it in the proper orientation because many of them use relays that have to drop out by gravity.
