36CKTS Surround Sound

Looking at ordering the 36 CKTS, and wondered if folks could tell us what they think of the sound system. Also, is the TV hooked up to the surround sound, and if not, do you know how it can be done? Thanks!

IMHO the home theatre system on the main TV is adequate. If you are an audiophile, you will want to replace it.
Mine does not play blue-ray which may lead to replacement soon.

As far as I can tell the surround sound does not route TV audio output to the ceiling speakers.

I also have the 12v Jensen in the bedroom.
I put a switch in the cabinet to turn it off
because the light is too bright. I have not
used it yet but it's only been a year.

If the sound bar/surround is the same as our 38FL it is second to everything in the world.... going to replace it later this year but honestly the sound out of the TV is better without the sound bar.

Don't think the 36 CKTS has a "sound bar"

Cedar Creek switched to the sound bar recently, which is a speaker system about 3' wide and 3" tall that sits under the tv. I think it is better then the Jensen with the speakers in the ceiling because you cant hear speakers in the ceiling if your in the slide.

Duckogram sounds like you might have the Jensen system, and the TV is routed through the ceiling speakers, you might not have it all turned on right.

I do have the Jensen. I suppose I'll have
to crack the manual open to find out why
it doesn't work.

Push the AUX button on Jensen radio dvd player, till it says AUX 1, you can go into tv menu under audio and turn the tv speaker off if you only want the ceiling speakers. You have to have the tv volume turned up quite a bit for the sound to come out of the speakers, then turn the sound up on the dvd/radio player.

I would bet it is hookup up, but if not it can be there are two audio inputs on the Jensen dvd/radio one in the back (AUX1) then the plug in the front (AUX2)

Here another thing I do, I bought for around $30 a Bluetooth audio receiver and I plug it in the front and then then connect my phone by Bluetooth, then I can control what I listen to remotely by my phone and listen to whats on my phone, or Pandora on my phone. I do this for inside the rig and I really love it for when I am outside and turn the outside speakers on and can control it all by my phone

My curiosity prevailed. It turns out that the
TV sound will play through the DVD/Radio/CD Home Theatre System.
All you have to do is select "AV IN" using the function either on the box or on the remote. Bad news is that it does not sound much better than the TV speakers
and you can't hear the rear pair if you are sitting in the slide.

Just as a reference, the system I am referring to is the no name bookshelf box
that is about 3" high and 14" wide. It has a USB and aux input on the front in the lower right side.

Smile Sound system

You sound like you know your way around audio. If my grandson's not around, I'll see if I can do it. Thanks again!
