38 FL Battery Servicing

I can't be the first one to have run into this, but I haven't been able to find a thread on the subject. Given the unfriendly placement of the 38FL batteries, it is impossible to check the fluids in 3 of the four batteries, short of removing them, checking the fluid and re-installing all four. Thinking of installing the FLOW RITE system and would like to solicit some comments on it from those with experience.....

Thanks!

I worked on a 2006 Monaco Knight with this system on the coach batteries, Owner says he would never have a coach without it. Very easy to use and no guessing or spilling water.

Well it could be worse...being up in the Great White North I think most of us need to pull our batteries, check the levels and give them a charge no and again!
Agree with you the placement of these are not in a friendly place!
Same can be said for the tank for fluid for the levelling system...

I have used the pro fill system for my 4 - 6 volt batteries. Like you have said it is hard to see the fill line on the batteries. With the pro fill system you just pump until the bulb is firm. I have been very pleased with this and have used it for almost 2 years.

Totally agree. I hate this time of year. It is a real PITAS to get the batteries out and then again in the spring to replace them but I don't want them to be left in the rig and die due to the cold. It really is trial by touch trying to get them out - barely no space, even for fingers.

I installed the Flow Rite Watering System shortly after taking delivery of our 36CKTS in April. There was no way to check the water level on the 4 batteries in that cramped space. So far I'm happy with the system.

I use the flow rite system for my four batteries in my 36ckts and it seems to work like a charm. That being said, i am just assuming everything is working properly and all of the cells are filled to the proper level because i am still too lazy to take them out and physically check. The batteries are holding up fine though.

I took all 4 of my 6 volts out to check the water level just after I bought it. None of them was filled to the right level. Those bad boys are a handful to wrestle in and out. I may have to check into this.

I moved the batteries over so I could get at them. I also used the auto watering system. just no room for the batteries .
