38FL Window Screens
DW wants me to remove the screens so she can clean the inside of the windows. Unfortunately, all the little tabs are on the OUTSIDE of the screen and there's not enough space between the screen, the mechanism and the window to get up in there to pull on the tabs. Almost seems that the screens are installed with the "inside out"......Any help? Thanks

The fact that this hasn't merited even ONE reply tells me that it must be a really stupid question and that the answer must be staring me in the face???? Or is this a problem unique to MY 38fl?

Most probably like me have never taken the screen out to clean windows so I know I have never done that. Next time I am in the RV I will have to look them.

I actually noticed that last year. I use a small screw driver to pull the screens into the rig so we can clean windows. I actually assumed those tabs put pressure and hold them in and were not really for removing them.

Normally there are spring clips that are depressed by pushing the frame against them and then pulling the tab.

Walter - tried the screwdriver idea. I started with the kitchen window, as it was the one that needed cleaning most. Got it popped loose but could not remove the screen because, no matter from which direction I tried to slide it out, there was not enough room to get it past the water faucet or cabinets to either side. It looks like the screen was installed before the faucet.....back to the drawing board

I removed all the screens in my XLR to clean them after about a year. They were the same as yours, with the clips on the inside. It wasn't much of a problem and I don't recall breaking any of them. Once you get one clip to release, the rest come easy.
On my Silverback, I have the same screens but haven't removed them for cleaning yet. I do use wet paper towels to wipe the dust off the screens where I can get to them.

Dan,
I am guessing you have a different (newer) style window. The screen comes out very easily on ours.

My 37ft, 2015 Silverback has these windows. Push that shade all the way to the top, take a drink of whiskey, try every angle and PATIENCE ! They are difficult but you will prevail! I had to remove 2 screens when I had satellite
Issues and fed a cable direct to the TV. Send family away! It is permissible to use bad language!!
Here is a FUTURE TIP... Place a mark or removable tape in one corner of the screen, like upper right, so you know you are in the correct pattern to install it. Helps( a lot )
