You plug it into the "other" outlet on the generator.

I did the the Progressive 50w hard wired when we bought our rig. Glad we did. Not sure why the $29 install can not be used. I just got a $600 discount on install of a tow bar, invisibrake and all the necessary crap all for $29. I actually did not even ask. I bought everything before the sale as they had no appointments. Then the sale hit when they were installing last week and they actually called me to let me know it would be $585 cheaper do to a special. Sounds funny they wouldn't do a two hr job but would do a day and a half job for $29

Turbs- I like the way you set yours up with the quick disconnects. Where did you find your connectors? The hoes depot want $30 a piece for male and female. That's a little too much

I bought the ems from a good friend whom had the connectors on the ems but I had to still buy two more ends.
I paid $10.00 each on ebay.

I am thinking now about the portable one now, I don't need to try to wire the unit up myself, I might kill myself or melt the camper.
It's not a hard job at all, I took my sweet time, access was not the best and was done in a hour and a half, checked everything three times.

I sent a email to Camping World and they might install it after all, at least the home office talked like they might. Between the EMS-PT50C and the EMS-HW50C is only about twenty five bucks I don't know which to go with. I can set the portable one up in the belly and run the 50amp cable to it and from the box to where the connection is on the camper, it will not be hard to do. Oh well I will have to decide by Monday, there should be some good sales on Monday. I can beat Camping World price on the hardwire and the portable units. C/W price HW $349 plus tax = $375 C/W price PT $356 plus tax= $383 and I can beat both prices. The HW I can get for $326, the PT I can get for $340
