6 point Lippert Hydraulic leveling

Right front (as you are looking at the front of my CC 5th wheel) blew out at O ring (my guess) as its leaking like a sieve. Called Lippert and their immediate response was, we will send you a new one ASAP and you ship back the old. GREAT response from the first guy I talked to.

My question is has anyone else hand any issues with the Lippert Auto level system? While I think I serves a purpose overall I would rather have a manual system, I can level up in about 5 min going manual and its fairly bullet proof, but my CC came with Lippert 6 point auto so I will live with what I have. But I am wary of its long term reliability...

i'll never buy another rig without it. I've had it on my '14 CC and the only problem I had was the hydraulic hose ballooned. This was changed under warranty earlier this year.

You don't have to use auto.. just push the up/down arrow until you see "manual mode", push enter and now you can level up manually... I do it all the time. I use manual mode most of the time, especially in spots that are highly un-level.

Just remember you have to select the "retract" button when you want the rams to rise.

I love mine though, no issues in 2 years+ and over 13000 miles towing.

Mine is almost 6 years old. The one problem I had was one rear jack that had a very slight leak. They replaced it under extended warranty, no problem. I, like others, will never have another rig without it

Mine blew a seal on one jack when it was about two weeks old.

The dealer warranty guy said they had to remove the jack, send it out for repair, then re-install. This would take several days.

I asked where the hydraulic shop was. We ended up taking the trailer to them and they fixed it, still on the trailer, in about three hours.

No problems since then.

Greatest thing on the trailer.

As said, use manual if you like manual.

But I'm not sure what broke on yours. ??

I would not buy another trailer without the 6 point leveling system!
We have had our trailer since May of 2015 and have had no issues with the system.

If you truly failed an O-ring a hydraulic shop can easily fix this in a couple of hours or less.

Friends of mine and I have had major issues with the electric motor driven front legs on the manual leveling systems.

I failed a fuse on my the motor when the legs where over extended trying to level the trailer.it was a special fuse that the local auto stores do not carry. I had to find an RV dealer that had a fuse for sale. So they all have issues.

As others have said, I also won't have another unit without it. I use ours in manual mode most of the time.

If I could order a Cedar Creek without one I would. I could spend the $6,000 bucks on full body paint. But to each his own

Love the self-leveling feature. Maintenance is important. I keep an eye on fluid levels and make sure the extensions are clean. Dirt can scratch them and cause leaks.

I just got my new 2017 360PDEK with the Lippert system and used autolevel to set it up for it's first use. Yesterday I was going to hook up and move the camper, but the Lippert system would not turn on. Anybody have any suggestions or have ran into this issue before? I will be contacting FR support later on today.

Fuses or battery

Good questions, the master battery switch is on and the batteries are fully charged. I also tried activating the unit with external power supplied, no difference. As for fuses, there is one near the control panel that I checked, it was fine. Are there other fuses I need to check?

My wife was outside looking at the control panel when I brought the slides in and she told me that the control panel displayed a message about the slides retracting, so this makes me believe that the control panel is actually functioning in some capacity.

Mine has fuses between the control panel and the battery, like you have found. They can be regular fuses or mini-circuit breakers. Mine also has a 12v blade fuse in the main breaker/fuse box.

If you are getting messages on the main control panel, then power looks good. Might try removing all power, shore and battery, to reset control panel.

Let us know your resolution when you find it!
