Air Conditionar Hard Start Capacitor

Newbie, still asking questions.
Do the A/C units on the Silverback come with hard start capacitors already installed, or is that something I need to get done?
Thank you.

You will have to do it. I've never seen it done by the factory. It's about 10 bucks and 5 mins of your time. Pretty simple

Our 2014 CC 38FL had the hard start caps when we bought it. Blew the one on the 15K unit about a month ago.....replaced it, everything working fine again

Some are now coming with hard start capacitors, Having them is nothing but a win win. If park power is a little taxed the capacitor helps the unit start without damage. If you like to camp where generators are necessary having a hard start capacitor can help on a smaller generator it prevents damage to the AC and may prevent the generator from tripping during start up. Once the AC compressor is up and running the power necessary drops and levels out.

When we did the tour of the wildwood plant, I had to explain to the rep what the hard start capacitor was- and how much happier we would be as customers if they would add that $10 part.

Just ordered my hard start capacitors off of Amazon last. Will be installing as soon as they are here.

What size hard start capacitor should I get for a 15K unit? There seems to be several size capacitors.

I bought a SPP6 hard start capacitor for my 15K A/C. There are three existing wires on the unit. A red, white and brown. I assume that I hook one black wire to the red wire and the other black wire to the white wire? Does it matter which black wire goes to the red or white wire?

No it doesn't matter which wires go where.
