Air Pressure for CC 36CKTS

I have a 2015 Cedar Creek 36CKTS. The trailer/tires came from the manufacturer and through a dealer prep with 95 psi, nitrogen filled. The tires themselves list "X" lbs weight maximum at 110 psi (cold) and the RV decal notes 110 cold. The dealer said 95-100 is suitable.

Anyone with a 36CKTS or similar weight RV have any info on what pressure you are maintaining? Also do you try to keep it Nitrogen pure or do a mix to simply add a few pounds of pressure?

I have a tpms on my tires. When my rv tires run low on air at 90 psi when check by manual digital pressure gauge cold temp check and running down the road my tpms senses a quick temp rises dramatically.
But when I go by sticker of 110 psi cold temp check and then hitting the road my tpms show very little temp increase on the tires.
So my experience use the sticker of 110 psi according to the rv manufacture.

Oh by the way, it makes no difference what you use for air.
Some people claim it does.
Race cars use nitrogen because it does not expand when heated due to lack of water in the air.
So you have to has your self is it worth it to have spare bottle of nitrogen in your truck to check tires all the time or just use the air hose for a compressor, and just check it more often like before you hit the road.
I carry small air compressor that goes all up to 150 psi just in case I stay somewhere and I can't get to a fuel station to air up.

The tire pressure is weight dependant. Here is a link to the specs for the G614's which came on my 36CKTS. You may have different tires.

Next is the nitrogen. Air is mostly nitrogen anyway. Your tires are not "pure" and never will be. Just add air.

Now the age old discussion. There are basically three theories.
1. Use the correct pressure for the weight.
2. Inflate to max cold psi. (aka blow hard)
3. Go by looks of the sidewall or hit em with a hammer.

I used the chart +10% along with a good tpms (TST) because I only had axle weights and not individual wheel weights and also the load varies a bit. That was 92 psi for me.

If you have ST tires just use the blow hard method.

MY 36CKTS came with Westlake CR960A tires (naturally made in China). Tire size: ST235-85R16/G

The only info Westlake puts out is:
打击他们可达110磅
or
Dǎjí tāmen kě dá 110 bàng

And since they are ST tires you should know that most manufacturers
and dealers publish they have a 65mph speed rating. However, Westlake rates them as "L" which is 75mph. I would not do over 65 mph with those tires but thats just me being safe.

Have 2015 36CKTS with Westlake tires pulled over 6000 mile already this year no trouble. 110 PSI cold air added to tires. Keep check on lug nut at 125 pounds and keep off curbs and hard fast turns on more than 12 degree.

Make sure rims are rated for the higher pressure. By the way normal air is 78 percent nitrogen.

If they are the g614 tire you should run 110 psi go to good year tires I think specialty tires and you can see the huge drop off on weight capacity if not run where they were designed to run don't listen to anybody investigate yourself those tire are also speed rated at 70 mph but only with max pressure do yourself a favor and investigate most tire people and very few Rv techs know anything about that specific tire but the info is available

I run 110 psi in my Goodyears. Use compressed air only, not nitrogen.

I thought nitrogen was gimmick too. Been using plain compressed air 60 years. Got 36CKTS with nitrogen and can not believe how stable the pressure stays. With '06CKTS had to re-air every season (average 15k miles year). Three seasons and 12k miles with nitrogen, have not had to adjust pressure.

The only right way to know the "correct tire pressure" is to have the coach weighed by wheel and then check the tire company's web site and look at their tire weight tire pressure guide.
Now most are going to tell me i'm nuts how can you do this, but it is getting to be the only way to stop some of the tire issues that are all over the internet.
Some scale houses do have wheel weight scales, and Escapees has done it way now for some time.
