Another happey Orvin customer!
Wow I cannot express how happy we are with Orvin and his crew! As soon as our rig was back in his shop Orvin and Amanda went right to work showing us things that you would never think of needing fixed, about 2 hours later and 2 pages of warranty repairs, they were ready for the work the next day. besides the warranty repairs Orvin also gave us some suggestions on what he felt we should have done: we had the Gear packs installed on the slides, added the retro kit to the frame which keeps the axles running true. I highly recommend this I could tell a big difference the way it handled driving home.he added struts to the front compartment door eliminating the flimsy plastic clips that hold it up. we also had him re plumb the grey water tanks, install extra set of LED tail lights higher up on the back. we also had him replace our steps going up stairs with the newer 2020 steps and also replace our snake skin looking headboard with the newer 2020 wood headboard. that plus all the warranty item that need fixed were all done the next day! Again 2 pages worth, We are so glad we made the 9 hour trip out there it was worth every mile! I can now say I feel our rig is 100%. I give a big thanks to Orvin and his entire crew! they give 110% and make sure you are completely satisfied before you leave.
I attached pictures of the new steps, tail lights and headboard.

For some folks it's a long trip but obviously well worth the trip.

For those of us not familiar with Orvin or Amanda, would you mind posting their place of employment? I'm extremely happy with Arlin at RV Value Mart in Willow Street, PA, but could always add another quality dealer to my rolodex.
Thanks

It's not a dealership. He is a former Cedar Creek employee that opened his own repair shop (Amish Family RV) near the CC factory near Elkhart, In. They primarily work on Cedar Creek units and he and his crew are fast and familiar with every aspect of CC construction.

We hauled our rig up from Georgia to Orvan's last May, and it was well worth it. We'll be going back when the need arises. The availability of someone like Orvan was one of the reasons that we bought our Cedar Creek.

for anyone who wants it here is his phone number

However, your GPS and the US Post Office will need that address to change "Ligonier" to "Topeka".

I had Orvan add the retro kit and gear bracket when I had mine in the shop the first of November. Sorry for the poor writing on the pictures, but should give you an idea of what he did.

I shared this before, but I had Orvan change the 2 steps in the passageway to 3 steps. Really like the work he did overall on my unit and the timeliness even though it was a week for all the work he did on my unit. Unfortunately I put it immediately in storage after picking it up. Check the attached pic on the steps.

For curiosity how much did the retro kit and slide gear pack install run? Running to orvans in january from ny to have some stuff taken care of before warranty ends, and have those done if he thinks they need to be.

The gear packs ran 136.00 the retro kit was 147.00 plus labor. The retro kit was worth the money for sure,I could tell a difference on the drive back.

Money well spent if it helps the rig last and prevent other problems.
