Another PI EMS install question

We have a 34RLSA on order and thinking about adding the PI EMS-HW50C.

In the installation instructions from PI's website they show 2 location options...

Before the transfer box or after the transfer box.

Is there a separate transfer box in the Cedar Creeks?

Or is the only option to install before the converter?

What install options need to be considered to be able to use a generator when shore power is not available?

Thanks

I'm assuming you don't have an onboard gennie just a portable?

If so you don't have a transfer switch.

Did my install behind distribution center.

No, don't have an onboard gennie... we will be using a Honda EU2000i portable.

Will the PI EMS need to be bypassed when using the portable gennie?

Not for sure if it will or not.

There is one forum member that has had to bypass his when using gennie.

I have a big construction type gennie that works fine with my EMS.

the other EMS thread shows a way to hook a plug with a jumper wire but that same member is still having issues and can't get it to work.

Btw a 2000 watt honda most likely won't run your a/c

At least a 3000 is needed.

Stay tuned.

Thanks Turbs

We might add a second Honda 2000i for additional power.

The single 2000i would be just for charging the batteries when boondocking.

I've not heard of anyone using a 2000 honda and having problems with an EMS yet.
Maybe tomorrow someone can tell us.
