Anyone with a residential refrigerator

Anyone have a smart fix to keep the refrigerator door from hitting the counter top when opening. Our door slowly keeps moving intil it hits the counter top.

Hey BoatDude, Maybe it is the calibration of your level up system. Ours does not do that.

Tie a string on the bottom.

We check the level up system...the coach is level. It may be the levelers on the bottom of the refrigerator itself. its just a home frig..maybe I can get to the adjusters in the front and make the frig better on level. A bullseye level in the frig shows a very slight out of center level. I keep tweaking it. To bad a stop is not built into the frig hinge.

Get creative and put a stop cable on the bottom of the door.

I adjusted my RV for a level stove and calibrated the Level Up System for that set up. The end result...my refer door does not move. If I leave it open, it will stay that way. Usually, I like a refer that swings the door closed when you let go of the door. I might have to jack up the front a bit.

My CC 36CKTS has the same fridge with the same problem. I put a small self adhesive bumper on the edge of the counter top and I don't loose any sleep over it now. When I pull over for lunch I sure as heck don't check level either!

Travel safe & enjoy the ride!
