There is no perfect solution. If fulltiming you need to get the floor plan that you and your wife like. Remember you are living in that thing everyday. That should be your most important consideration. Then maked adjustments on where you camp. I have a 36 CKTS that is 39 ft long and 13'4" high. I just make sure I can get out before I go in.
I have camped in nationals parks, state parks, county parks, city parks, forest service land BLM land in addition to commercial RV parks. I use full hookups and boondock, just depends I where I'm at.
