Awning cover but awning stays wet

My CC has the awning cover/protector. I always make sure the awning is dry before retracting and storing. Every time I deploy the awning after it has been parked and after it has rained, the awning is entirely wet and mildewed. Has been this way from day one. I park it level. Should I park it front or rear high? Does anyone else see this problem? Recently talked to a friend with a new Bighorn, same awning and cover and his does not do this.

Not really made to keep dry only to protect from sun and other elements. I have to deploy after rain to dry out. Later RJD
