is there a simple way to explain how you added a remote to your awning
switch assembly inside the RV? it would be greatly appreciated by me if
not by many more.... thanks in advance

It's POUR'N here right now, but I'll post a piv of the unit when I can get it out or storage area. There was a thread called lazy man awning....might look in the library section of forum and see if it's there...Box (controler) was RM66...now there's a newer better one that I've got and hopefully still have the part num. Also, it uses a key-fob

New model controller is RM 800.....12V DC 2-Pole motor relay switch. No name of course, so you'll need to Google it

Do check your motor in the tube for heat. Some burnouts are caused by constant 12V bleeding past the rocker switch. Motor should be cool to the touch.

Glad to hear that Cato. I'm a little leery of recommending a service fearing they may not treat someone else as good as they do me. Very pleased that Dick Gore in St. Augustine did not disappoint either one of us. IMO they are very good to deal with. Thanks for the follow up & that your problem has been taken care of.
