Bed lift struts

One of the bed lift struts pulled completely out of the wooden platform that the mattress is on. I have no idea how this happened, but all three screws have pulled out of the pressed wood platform. Please help.

You could replace the screws with binding posts or you could use carriage head bolts. That would keep them from pulling out of the wood.

You may need to get some wood and kinda build a extra plate where it tore the screws out at. Depending on how bad. Get a 1/4 in maybe 5" by 6" or so and then screw it in the the place where the strut mounts to give it a more secure mounting platform.

If you need to replace the struts you can get them on Amazon pretty cheap.

Thanks kendive for the strut info. I ordered the same from Amazon and put them in today. What a difference! The bed now stays up when opened; my wife will be so pleased! Only took a half hour!
