What are you attaching the Swagman to? Did I read you say that you're going to get a bolt-on hitch for the bumper?

The rack I bought was 40 pounds shipping weight so less what 1-3 pounds for package/padding/plastic?
Both bikes(one is in my profile) are 40 pounds each (bathroom scale) that is just under 120 pounds total.

I will look hard at the bumper and recalculate if need be.

IMO if the bumper can not support <120lb it needs to be scraped.

I know everyone's experiences are different (and it was a whole different camper)- but I had a buddy who was real proud of his clamp-on bike rack. 2 trips later, I got a text from his wife who said someone flagged them down because something was throwing sparks up from the back of their camper. Turns out it was their bikes + spare tire.

The weight of everything and leverage/distance from the bumper itself caused the bumper to twist and break.

I think many new units are coming with stickers on the bumpers saying essentially, "if you attach anything to the bumper, your warranty is void".

Your results may vary, of course.
