BluRay DVD player

Did FR opt out of the BluRay DVD player for the entertainment system or is my unit defective? Seems that they opted out as my G-kids DVDs won't play in our new 34IK.
It would be odd that they did but figured I'd ask what others are experiencing?

They only put a DVD player in my 2016 FR 3010DS. I purchased a Blu-Ray player on sale at Walmart, a small Sony, and plugged it into my system. Now the Grandkids can watch their DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Hope this helps.

Yep, dvd only. We did our shakedown trip last weekend to a RV park on our local golf course. Decided to try out the dvd/tv system so went to the local grocery store and rented a blue ray dvd. After trying it without success I went back to the store and rented the standard dvd version and it worked fine. Unit is the IVR32 mounted in a Rockwood 2608BS.

That's just incredible! Who at FR makes these decisions or lack of?
Very tacky.
I must say I'm disappointed that that is what they deliver for $97,000

Why?

You do understand that the system used on the Cedar Creek is a second tier vendor that is a Jensen combination DVD/CD/FM/AM Radio for the entertainment system. So, I do not believe that Jensen offers a Blu-Ray disc player in that version of unit.

Decision in manufacturing are usually made on cost/price/value based on the mass marketing potential to the general customer. Not everyone needs or wants a Blu-Ray player in their trailer.

As it has been stated it is not that costly to purchase a Blu-Ray player if you require one!

I don't know of any of the mass produced RVs that come with a Blu-ray system, not just FR.
I'm not aware of any RV-specific entertainment system that has Blu-ray.

Better off buying one at Costco or something, if FR put one in it would be the cheapest pile of junk you could imagine anyway. It would probably scratch the disc and spit it out across the room at you.
