Hi,

Since the first time we had our Silverback out, we have received numerous compliments -- and quite a few requests to take a look inside and see how spacious the cathedral ceilings make the interior feel. But it's the exterior that catches people's eye. And a faded finish would not be a good testimony for manufacturing quality.

By correcting this defect without me having to fight for it, FR gets ongoing marketing value from me at the face-to-face, campground level -- not just from the restored good looks of the unit, but also the good vibes I'm going to project about FR.

FWIW.

Almost ready to buy a 2017 34RL2. Has FR fixed this problem with the introduction of the new front caps? I see that they look different than the previous years but don't know if they have taken steps to correct fading.

If that's what I'm getting it sure looks cool, can't wait, it's a three week trip for us. I hope hurricane Matthews passes us by, we are only 60 miles from Wilmington NC

But the more important piece of this is my satisfaction with the way Denise in FR, and my local dealer (Holiday Hour in DeKalb, IL), handled my problem.

There are various complaints here and elsewhere about customer support in the RV world -- many of them fully justified. But it's equally important to hear stories like mine, where unquestioning, fully responsive action by FR's representatives results in owner satisfaction.

x2 on the dealer. When I lived in Illinois I bought 3 Jaycos from them.
