CC 38fl

We bought a 2012 CC 38fl 3 years ago. All in all its been a AWSOME fifth wheel considering we live in it 365 days a year do to my husband is in the oilfield. We have had some problems especially at the beginning. Full size fridge came out of compartment, jacks were leaking oil which in return did not want to work, electric slides didn't want to go in or out like should, and a few small issues. We bought the extended gold warranty for $5000 and I hate to say it but it's not worth the paper it's written on. We did not notice any of the issues until the next morning after pick up when we were closing up to make the trip from Weatherford TX to Vernal Utah. Slides wouldn't go in and jacks wouldn't go up. Needless to say the dealership was unable to help due to a tornado that hit cleburn TX overnight. Called cedar Creek and they talked us through a reset and we were able to get on the road that afternoon. We kept hearing a clanging noise coming from the back right , no idea what it was. Could only hear it when in tow and if we're outside. After Utah, we headed to Kanses. If course in Utah, had to do another reset for anything to work. Leaving Kansas had no problems but still hearing that noise coming from back right. Left Kansas and headed to Peoria Arizona. No problems setting up or taking down. Got home to San Antonio TX found a dealer up by Austin who could get it in under the warranty. For most part very happy with dealership but very unhappy with what they found and very unhappy with extended warranty. We had a week off and were told it would be ready for our next take off. It was but went round and round with warranty and ended up being another 2 weeks. Bill was almost $4000 and we paid over $2000 out of pocket because warranty didn't want to pay. The noise from back rear,..... It was the breaks. On all the tires the breaks were actually in a hundred pieces and warrenty would only pay for one side. First off, we are lucky we are alive , being that those breaks were apparently that way the entire time. Secondly why would you only pay for half? On top of that they didn't want to pay for 75% of repairs even though they were reported to them before we took it in because we're issues from the start. Since then we have had a few problems here and there such as water lines froze and busted, clothes hanger rod in closet fell, water leaks here and there , fireplace heater went out, but not all bad considering these are not meant to live in full time. And these were mostly do to cold weather and ware and tare. We are very happy with our CC and would definitely recommend it.
