CC 38FL Gray Tank Issue

Well we are out camping with two of our adult children... One "forgot" to take an RV shower... So tank is full. Take blue tote out to empty tank. Tank has maybe 2 gallons. But shower still holding water and gauge says full. Scratch head and go to bed..

New (rainy) day and look at the situation. Drain all 3 tanks. Black is all set - labeled correct and showing on the gauges. Gray #1 is back and labelled Bath, Gray 2 is forward and labeled galley.

Run kitchen sink until sensor shows 1/3 - tank 2
Run bath vanity until sensor shows 1/3 - tank 1
Run shower until sensor shows 1/3 - tank 2

Why would you plumb kitchen and shower together????

Something is not right. The Galley holding tank should only be connected to the kitchen sink + outdoor galley sink if you have one. Bath and Shower should go to the other gray holding tank and drain should have a Y connection.

Factory Answer:

"Yeah we plumbed it that way due to some frame members/cross members being in the way, will verify this with the production manager"

Pretty unhappy with that answer. Will need to take down the pans and see what the plumbing really looks like under there.

Send a message via Skype™ to mikey
I'd be contacting the General Manager, Craig Claire about this in for sure!

Winding my way through Cedar Creek now... Just had discussion with fellow 38FL owners - both of their rigs work "properly" - Shower and Vanity to bathroom tank, Kitchen to galley tank.

Ok - have a request...

Looking for a picture of inside the 38FL Plumbing Access door (small door just past the outside fridge) - I believe I have found the plubing error and looks like it might be fixable (yes this was a screw up at the factory based on the information I have so far).

I would like to get a picture of the plumbing to confirm my suspisions.

Thanks for the help.

Resolution

Well it really wasn't good news, but at least I have traced out all the plumbing....

- The "Galley" gray tank (Tank 2 on monitor) does indeed take all water from the Kitchen Sink and Shower. This doesn't look to be a mistake either, has to do with tank locations and fixture drain locations.

- The "Bathroom" gray tank (Tank 1 on monitor) take all water from the bathroom sink and the Washer (if you have one).

Think I will be installing a transfer pump next year if we have challenges with water management. We have been out camping now for almost 3 weeks with either no hook-ups or electric only and been managing ok with just the two of us.

Important note for those that are looking at the 38FL - We were never told this - not a huge issue but we should have been informed of the configuration.
