Cedar Creek 50amp down to 30amp.

Have not had a need to step down to
30amp with my 2015 Silverback.

Pretty sure we might wind up with 30amp at THE FROG RALLY coming SOON in Goshen.

We are leaving in 1 week heading north. I do not want to arrive in Goshen unprepared. What do I need to step my cords DOWN. I believe I have a like 4 ft long step down cord in my STUFF.

On my Keystone, 4 years ago, out west, I THINK I plugged my 50 a cord into the RV and used the short step down which had 50a snd 30a fittings and plugged the 30 amp into that and then to the power source.

Sound right?

Tnx.

Basically you might need a 50 to 30 amp dog bone adapter, it is best to have one before you get here because most places will sell out early. Also plenty of sewer hose. This is from last years rally but is still helpful for this years.

Thanks. The "last year's" recommendations will be helpful.
I will double check my "Stuff" . The metal splitter I recall my neighbor had one 2 years ago. I will be packing mine. Also heading to Wally World and buying 10ft hose extension for my already 35ft hose. Not concerned about sewer. We will shell out $ for necessary pump outs. Will add water pressure regulator on my to buy list as well.

The "dog bone" is something I had and still may be in the rv. Unfortunately it is parked 65 miles north. I may buy another one locally with an "unused" return policy. I know what you are saying there likely will be none to be had around Goshen.

All good tips!

So do I. Just plug your 30 amp cord in then put a 30 to 50 amp adapter in the line then plug your 50 amp cord from that to the trailer. I'm sure I have every combination of cords and adapters there is.

Just another friendly reminder, make sure you have your adult beverages with you if you care to indulge on Sunday as there are NO ALCOHOL sales on Sunday in the Goshen area

They do make a 50 to 30 adapter that screws rite on the 50 amp inlet to the coach, it has locking collar to lock it on. The other end is 30 female.
I use that with a 30 surge protector when we don't have 50 amp service.
I think Camco makes it.

Best to make sure you are powering your rig from a power source that is equal to or less than the amp rating of your trailer. They sell adapters that will allow powering a 30 amp trailer from a 50 amp pylon but I will have none of that. You want the pylon breaker to trip before you exceed the rating of your trailer.

50 amp to 30 issues

When I had to use a 30 amp outlet my main AC would not function, only the front unit worked. Anyone understand what the issue might be??
